Amanruya Bodrum
Bodrum is a popular tourist destination in Turkey. Located on the southern Aegean coast, the city is an ideal holiday spot.
It offers the perfect mix of historic monuments and natural sights that caters to every kind of traveler. Bodrum is most famed for the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus, which was among the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
Aman resorts, well known for its luxury resorts like the Amangiri in Canyon Point, USA, and Amanzoe in Porto Heli, Greece, provides a luxurious experience in this beautiful city with Amanruya Bodrum. The design for Amanruya was created by Aga Khan Award winner Turgut Cansever. In the hands of his daughter and son-in-law, Emine and Mehmet Ogun, the design was actualized.
Spread out over a vast area of 97000 sq.ft, Amanruya is virtually a city in itself. Guests get to choose from 35 pavilions, categorized into sea view, garden view and pool suites. The spacious cottages are furnished with four-poster beds, traditional charcoal fireplaces and handmade kilim rugs. All of the pavilions also come with a private outdoor area to relax in and enjoy the view. With a private pool and garden complete with a pergola and daybeds, it is entirely possible to spend your holiday at Amanruya without going anywhere and just lounging in the sun.
To design this magnificent resort, the architects drew from its location. The Turkish Mediterranean style takes into consideration the history and culture of the site. Materials are locally sourced, and the structure built by skilled local craftsmen. And together they form a beautiful piece of vernacular architecture that is both historic and modern. The design uses hand-laid stone pathways to connect the pavilions to each other. Structures are constructed using a local stone, which lends them a pale pink hue. These are complemented by the green shades of the elegantly landscaped gardens. Much of the interior spaces use Mugla White marble flooring, allowing the dark wooden furniture to catch the eye.
Like in most other Aman Resorts, guests at Amanruya Bodrum also get to make use of a host of luxurious amenities. A 50 metre pool, along with a spa, yoga studio, and fitness studio are among some of the many amenities available here. A three storied library offers guests a peaceful space to read in. The library overlooks spectacular views of the ocean and the surrounding pine and olive groves. A beach club located a short walk away provides lounging and dining options by the beach. Guests can also choose to dine by the pool, in the lounge or at the Anatolian Dining Pavilion.
While the services and amenities offered at Amanruya may tempt you to stay in, the resort also offers a variety of curated local experiences.
