Home Office by Hello Wood
‘The New Normal’ is a term that has been used a lot off late. Referring to the current state of affairs around the world, the new normal has differed across nations. But one of the big changes that appear to be here to stay is the home office.
For many, working from home is a dream come true. Being able to work while staying at home with your loved ones and not having to deal with long commutes is a blessing to most. However, with the new normal has come new problems, mainly, the lack of space and privacy. While it’s great to work from home, having to share a table while your child does his homework, or having your dogs play around your workstation can be distracting and detrimental to productivity. For Hello Wood Studio, this is a challenge they are well prepared for.
Working out of Budapest in Hungary, Hello Wood Studio has been a vocal supporter of the tiny house movement. The Tiny House Movement encourages sustainability by living a simple life in small footprint homes. The studio is also a firm believer of spending time out in nature, for which the team heads to the countryside every winter. Hello Wood has designed several small homes and cabins for these purposes, from those that can house an entire family, to ones that can be used as a spare room.
The Workstation Cabin is the latest in this line of products. Taking on a spectacular geometric shape, the workstation cabin is compact, but still has enough room to spare. From outside, the pod looks like a stylish Mid Century Modern spaceship. The pod comes ready to use, waiting to be turned into a home office or childrens’ playroom. Wood panels and large windows make it fit right into any natural environment, offering brilliant views. The pod comes with a built-in bench, and can be customized to have features such as air conditioning, heating, sound systems and even mood lighting.
The angled shape of the pod takes up less space on the ground, while offering a spacious layout inside. The interesting design also turns the cabin into a fine addition to any outdoor space. It is a modern adaptation of a treehouse - playful and imaginative - with the added benefit of being able to be installed anywhere. The cabin is soundproof and insulated, making it a great home office. It comes with all the benefits of a spacious workspace, while allowing you to work from the garden. The Workstation Cabin is definitely an upgrade to the traditional home office!
